At the 2026 ABET spring governance meeting, Dr. Donna Reese was officially elected by the ABET Board of Directors as the 2026–2027 President-Elect of ABET, meaning she is slated to step into the role of President following her term as President-Elect. Dr. Reese is a Professor Emerita at Mississippi State University and boasts a long history of leadership and accreditation expertise. Prior to her recent election, she served as president of CSAB and held multiple chair and executive roles within ABET, including leading the Computing Accreditation Commission in 2017-18. She is highly recognized for her contributions to STEM education, having previously been named an ABET Fellow, an ASEE Fellow, and a CSAB Fellow. In her new capacity, she is focused on expanding access to higher education, integrating emerging technologies, and strengthening quality assurance on a global scale.
