At the October 25, 2024, ABET governance meeting, new CAC/ABET program criteria for accrediting associates level information technology (IT) programs received final approval from the ABET Computing Area Delegation for implementation beginning with the 2025-26 cycle of reviews. The full text of these Criteria can be found here (see page 7).
The CAC now has General Criteria for each of associates, baccalaureate, and masters level programs. And the CAC has program criteria at the associates level for cybersecurity and for information technology.
