On February 1, 2025, the CSAB Board voted NOT to advance for implementation any of the proposed changes to the CS Program Criteria.  This decision came after careful review of the public feedback received to date.  The proposed revisions remain posted on the ABET website for additional feedback, but CSAB has decided NOT to advance them to the next stage thereby stopping their implementation.  The proposed revisions to the CS program criteria included new requirements for substantial coverage of “software engineering; and artificial intelligence,” and for exposure to “specialized platforms; graphics and interactive techniques; human computer interaction; and sustainable computing.”  Even though they will not be implemented, you still can find all of the details regarding the proposed changes here (see page 5).
